In 2013 OdaTech installed a biofiltration odour control system for the Busselton Wastewater Treatment plant in the South West region of WA.
Due to the high air flow volume but relatively low expected H2S values, the system was sized to eight biofilter units all operating in parallel, without activated carbon treatment. Due to client requirements the system had a 10m GRP stack, rather than the usual short HDPE stack which OdaTech installs.
The system has been operating for over six years with the only required maintenance being quarterly inspections – performance is still excellent and no media change has been required.
